Nick Faldo has created a gem in Lough Erne. As a perfect mid trip round, Lough Erne gives golfers a lush parkland experience in the midst of multiple seaside links tee times. The course has multiple elevations changes and an adverturous layout comprised of lowlands, dense forest, and marshland. One downside is the course is not all that walkable, therefore you may want to get a buggie to help ease the leg pain one will endure. It is a pure test of parkland golf seeking a golfer’s accuracy and distance control, above all else. If you have an extended stay in Northern Ireland, Lough Erne is a splendid addition to the itinerary.
